Family fears body parts, burned car are that of Sade Robinson, a missing Wisconsin woman
View Date:2024-12-24 02:46:34
The family of a missing woman says that human remains found in and around Milwaukee may be connected to her disappearance.
Family members of Sade Carleena Robinson, 19, say they believe her disappearance could be related to the human leg found near Lake Michigan. However, authorities have not confirmed whether the cases are connected.
Robinson was reported missing on Monday, April 1, and was labeled "critically missing" by the Milwaukee Police Department.
The following morning, a car was found on fire in an alley about 2 miles from Robinson's home. Family members told WISN-TV that detectives said the car was Robinson's.
The same day, a person found a human leg in or near Lake Michigan at a Milwaukee County Park in Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Multiple body parts have surfaced in the area since the first discovery. The search remains ongoing as of Monday.

Robinson's disappearance
Police say Robinson was last seen in the area of 1800 N. Commerce St. in Milwaukee on April 1.
She is 5 feet tall and weighs roughly 135 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was possibly wearing a black coat, white-hooded sweatshirt, blue jean pants, and white shoes.
Sheena Scarbrough, Robinson's mother, told WISN-TV that on the day of her disappearance Robinson, texted to ask for $15, an action she described as "very unusual."
Robinson then failed to appear for her shift at a local pizza restaruant.
"She was scheduled to graduate next month," Scarbrough told the outlet.
Robinson attended Ida S. Baker High School and Riverside High School, according to her Facebook page and was studying criminal justice at Milwaukee Area Technical College before her disappearance, according to WISN.
"We need y'all's support to help and find more evidence. Thanks to these people out here, we found a little bit more evidence, but we still don't know everything," David Scarbrough II, Robinson's uncle, told WISN on Saturday.
USA TODAY has reached out to Robinson's family and will update this story if we receive a response.
Human remains found
After the initial April 2 discovery of what was confirmed to be a human leg, the sheriff's office did not treat the case as a homicide investigation, but as a "death investigation, albeit suspicious."
The investigation was upgraded to a homicide investigation after the agency searched a home on Milwaukee's south side and took a person of interest into custody on April 4.
The sheriff's department told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, part of the USA TODAY Network, that another human body part was found about one block from the scene of the car fire at about 10 p.m. on Friday.
Milwaukee police reported that remains were found on Saturday and Sunday less than a tenth of a mile from the location of the Friday discovery.
USA TODAY has reached out to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department and did not receive an immediate response.
